Added the Desert biome: In the Desert you will find lots of sand, sandstone and a few hardy cactii. The limestone has lots of sinkholes for you to accidentally wander into, there are stories that some of them may even connect to others through caves… Added the Karst area: The Karst area is a very dynamic terrain, made out of limestone.Food is harder to find, mostly mushrooms and berries. Added the Tundra biome: A more sparse area with fewer resources, but the iron ore is more plentiful. You will commonly find copper and tin here, with the occasional patch of iron ore. The steppes are a nice starting area without too much difficulties to find the resources you need. Added the Steppes biome: Vast plains containing all kinds of resources like wheat and flax. There’s something new to discover over every mountain! Take a trip across the steppe grasslands and go lumberjacking in the coniferous forests. You can mine precious metals alongside desert mesas, build a stone lodge in the frozen arctic, and farm amongst the hazel trees in the cratered karst landscape. ![]() It comes with new terrain and seven distinct biomes! Each one has a unique mix of flora and terrain to create vistas unlike anything you’ve seen before in Medieval Engineers. so here i sit with just over a year old drivers just so i can use the "sound card" to its fullest. There is a new planet for you to explore in this update of Medieval Engineers. that means with out the audio program you cannot adjust anything like 5.1/7.1 speaker distance and without the xfi-mb5 you lose all sorts of customization. i was even sitting there right before i hit uninstall and thinking "damn it, i would rather reinstall windows" i was using a driver from the realtek website that wasnt but a few months old (end of 2018) and now realtek does not offer those drivers anymore, yes they have newer drivers but drivers only and those do not work with the sb-xfi mb5 program. Comes and goes game does not run exactly as smooth as you think.Īgreed. ![]() I tend to have the beeps when your program is beating a CPU to death. to many people really do suffer from this to be that issue tho. If anything woluld be related to souncard issues its a corrupt driver faulty hardware. Probably even a good % of that are "realtek" or some copy.Īnd alot of that is going to be supplied by the "Mobo" manufacture"Īnd even more of those are 1-2 updates at most lifetime. Most sound cards are probably intergrated. This helped so far all of the users we know had this problem. We found out the clue what is causing the sound issues for you. I don't even -really- need comment from the developers unless it comes in the form of fixing what they broke. I am aware that this notation isn't entirely endearing, but entering into a conversation is also not my goal, here. Steam commenter's note: "known issue" "what kind of headphones/audio card?" "well, I'm not having this issue" and similar 'contributions' are devoid of content and serve no real purpose in this discussion for that reason. As many complaints as I've read regarding the last patch, the chittering is really the one thing stopping me from playing the game until it's resolved. ![]() ![]() Whether or not the hot fix was intended to correct the problem, it didn't and I doubt very much that I'm the only one having trouble talking themselves into tolerating the noise issue in order to play. I say "try" because all I know for certain is that if I play for long enough(and it doesn't take very long) that my sound will be randomly drowned in a chaotic, ambient chittering which strikes the ear after a particularly grating fashion. I haven't been able to determine a pattern which might point to a cause or trigger, but since 0.7.1 and persisting after the more recent hot fix, I've been getting an intermittent series of electronic beeps whenever I try to play.
